sperm test

At Boost Health Clinic you can test your fertility with a sperm test. This test has been validated by the WHO (World Health Organisation) as being accurate. This male fertility test can be done without any training, in about 15 minutes, without embarrassing visits to a clinic and from the comfort of your home.

There are three options regarding your fertility while on TRT

1. Try to make someone pregnant anyway

Although testosterone replacement therapy may lower sperm count, it does not necessarily result in infertility, and many men find they can still father children even while taking testosterone replacement therapy.

(Don’t think that just because you’re taking TRT means you don’t need birth control.)

But this is a risky decision because there’s no guarantee you’ll stay fertile, and in most cases, taking TRT makes it harder to make someone pregnant unless you prevent it with other medications.

Fertility usually returns when you stop TRT, but not always.

The longer you take TRT, the higher the risk that your fertility will not return to normal.

At Boost Health Clinic, we don’t recommend this approach, but be aware that it’s possible for your fertility levels to remain good enough for pregnancy while on TRT.

2. Freeze your sperm and store it for when you want to have children.

Not all men who start TRT plan to have children right away. This option is an excellent guarantee for future fertility, but many men may hesitate due to the costs involved.

It is also recommended as a preventative measure for all men, regardless of whether they are using other medications to improve or maintain fertility.

For men who don’t want to pay for storage, there is a third effective option…

(which is still a good idea).

3. Use hCG and/or hMG therapy to ensure continued testosterone production in the testes and maintain fertility in most men.

HCG acts as an analogue of LH (luteinizing hormone) (it acts similarly in the body) and has been shown to cause the body to produce testosterone again in the testicles. This causes an increase in sperm production (can be helped further by HMG which replicates FSH) and also stimulates testicular growth.

There are many studies that support HCG’s use for improving male fertility in previously fertile men who are now supplementing testosterone on TRT.

The research of 26 men taking HCG with injections and percutaneous testosterone has maintained fertility for more than one year (this is probably maintained from fertility after this period.

How does the sperm test work

We send you a cup with a lid by Grab bike. You can put your sperm in there and we pick up the cup later from you by Grab bike. The Grab bike brings the cup to the laboratory for examination. After we get the results back from the lab we will discuss the lab findings with you and discuss your fertility.
