Why Blood Testing Matters
Blood testing is the foundation of every treatment plan at Boost Health Clinic. Whether you are considering testosterone replacement therapy, investigating erectile dysfunction, or monitoring your health during a weight loss programme, accurate blood work is essential.
Our comprehensive male hormone panel measures total and free testosterone, oestradiol, SHBG, LH, FSH, prolactin, thyroid function, PSA, and a full blood count. If you are using anabolic steroids, our steroid advice and harm reduction service includes targeted blood panels to monitor liver, kidney, and cardiovascular markers.
Blood testing is available at our clinics in Bali and Jakarta. According to the Endocrine Society clinical guidelines, measuring testosterone levels on at least two separate mornings is recommended before diagnosing hypogonadism.
Which blood test package is right for you?
Core Health (21 markers) is the right starting point if you simply want to know where you stand. It covers total and free testosterone alongside a full blood count, which is enough to confirm or rule out low testosterone and pick up common problems such as anaemia or infection.
Performance Health (43 markers) is for men who want a broader picture of how their body is running. It adds metabolic markers, a full cholesterol profile, thyroid function, and liver and kidney markers, which matters if you train hard, are managing your weight, or want a baseline before making changes to diet or training.
Advanced Health (57 markers) is the panel we recommend before starting any hormone therapy. On top of everything in Performance Health it measures LH, FSH, oestradiol, prolactin, insulin and PSA, so your doctor can see not just whether testosterone is low, but why, and whether treatment is appropriate and safe.
Complete Health (63 markers) is built for prevention and longevity. It extends the cardiovascular panel, adds thyroid antibodies and key vitamins, and gives the most complete view of long-term risk we offer. It suits men who want to catch problems years before symptoms appear.
If you are unsure, our doctors will help you choose based on your symptoms, goals and history. You can always start with a smaller panel and add markers later.
How blood testing works at Boost Health Clinic
Booking takes a minute by WhatsApp or through our online form. We’ll confirm a morning slot, since testosterone peaks early in the day and morning samples give the most reliable reading.
On the day, you’ll arrive fasted (water is fine) and a nurse will draw your blood at the clinic. The draw itself takes a few minutes. Samples are processed by an accredited partner laboratory, and results are ready within two to three working days.
Once your results are in, you don’t just receive a PDF. A Boost Health Clinic doctor reviews every panel, explains what each marker means in plain language, and tells you which values matter and which don’t. If anything needs treatment or further investigation, we’ll set out the options, and if a specialist is the right next step, we’ll say so and help arrange the referral.
Who should get a blood test?
You don’t need to feel unwell to benefit from testing, but some men should not put it off. If you’ve noticed low energy, poor sleep, reduced libido or erectile changes, difficulty building muscle or losing fat, low mood or brain fog, a blood test is the fastest way to find out whether hormones, thyroid, metabolism or something else is behind it.
Testing also matters if you are on, or considering, testosterone therapy, a weight-loss programme, or anabolic steroids. In each case regular monitoring of hormones, blood count, liver, kidneys and cardiovascular markers is what keeps the approach safe.
Finally, many of our patients test simply because they want to. An annual panel gives you a record over time, and trends are often more revealing than a single result. For most men over 30, once a year is a sensible rhythm; men on treatment are monitored more often.
